Neighborhood Watch

A program where people of a neighborhood agree to look out for each other and a sign is erected warning criminals who may come into the area. This program runs on the idea that criminals who aren't deterred by the possibility of being shot, beaten up or arrested are deterred by a stupid sign and some window stickers. Furthermore, these people think they need a sign to tell them to call the police if their neighbors are being home invaded.

The cracked out serial killer will be stopped dead in his tracks by "neighborhood watch" sign on the street

Anyone who trusts their families safety to a neighborhood watch sign and not a real method of protection (IE GUN) is sick

The neighborhood watch program is void of all logic

their eyes were watching god

A book containing many very annoying black southern colloquialisms, with a horrible storyline about a black woman's oppressed life. Of course, she has to throw in a bunch of sexual innuendos involving pear trees, flowers, and bumblebees. If you like reading about a little town called Eatonville where only blacks live, and people from miles around gather to see the new lamppost installed, you'd love this book. If you 're anything like a cognitive human being that requires some kind of respectable theme or decent storyline to enjoy something, stay far away from this book.

Our AP English class got assigned to read Their Eyes Were Watching God, regardless of the fact that everything else we've read contains 200% more thought-provoking content than this garbage.

Watcher's Block

Similar to Writer's Block and Reader's Block. Happens when you are watching a series / film / drama / etc. but can not retain the attention span to watch for long periods of time. As well as the shortened viewing time, the ability to retain what has been viewed is impaired.

Another symptom of Watcher's Block is the shorter periods of time between channel changes.

1: Did you watch that DVD I loaned you?
2: I tried to, but I can't get into it. Watched 15 minutes of it, then just gave up. Think I've got Watcher's Block.

A: You keep flicking channels here, you got Watcher's Block or something?
B: Must have.
