2. Can also take on other connotations of The Man as in James Balwin's Going to Meet the Man.

Junkie #2: Don't worry, I'm going to meet The Man and get a quart of PG and a hundred nembies.
2. Feminist #1: I'm goin to the portest tomorrow, and I'm gonna meet The Man.
