Friend Zone

Being Friend Zoned is much more than just simple rejection.

It comprises overt rejection coupled with an implied glimmer of hope often intentionally cultivated by the female in hopes of being able to call on the rejected patsies specifically male agency value ( protection, bill paying, car repair, ego massaging, listening to sob stories about A-hole boyfriends, etc).

Sara strung Paul along for 3 years in Friend Zone hell because she liked being able to snap her fingers and have him come running like a puppy. What an evil, using bitch!

Bianca decided after their date that Paul wasnt for her . She thanked him for the date but told him to please not bother call ing again. Bianca has my respect.

When a person lets you down when you ask them out and they say "We're just friends." or "You'll always be a friend."

Person A doesn't like Person B because Person A believes that there just friends. Person A rejects Person B on dating each other because Person A believes there just friends. This is a example of being friend zoned

Friend of Joanna

A trans-exclusionary radical feminist; a friend of Joanna (JK) Rowling: famous transphobe and bigot, formerly the author of the Harry Potter novels under an assumed male name.

The term is derived from the queer code/identifier "Friends of Dorothy". One (of many) particular references this identifier draws on is the following exchange in the novel 'Road To Oz' between Dorothy and Polychrome (the Rainbow's daughter): "You have some queer friends, Dorothy." "The queerness doesn't matter, so long as they're friends!" In Joanna's case, the reader might imagine her replying to the same prompt with "the queerness doesn't matter, as long as they're 'biological' women!"

I'm not saying she's literally a dementor, Ron, but I *am* saying she's a 'friend of Joanna'

When a member of the opposite sex repeatedly makes transparent advances towards you while messing things up every time and behaves in a manner that is a)confusing b)just plain inappropriate c) awkward.

If a person does this, Friend Zone him/her immediately.

...As in - um, you just showed up at her house rang her doorbell then left?!!
Ting! You just got friend zoned.

-Oh man, you showed up at her friend's house and then called her FRIEND stupid?

Ting! Friend Zoned.
