A bay area originated term, "hella" is used to express, mainly, quantity. For example, "that was HELLA tight." In the afformentioned sentence "hella" is used to replace really, or so, or very. Hella basically means, a lot of.

Hella
/ˈhelə/
Adjective or Adverb: 1) in or to an extreme degree; a synonym of the words "extremely", "quite", "totally" & "very"
Origin: NorCal people claim the word, but in Las Vegas people have been using the word since the '70s and it's a part of the vernacular of EVERY kid that grew up in Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Henderson, and all of Southern Nevada. The origin is still not clear, but both communities have used the word a hella long time.
