An EMT that has no plans or aspirations to move up or improve on themselves. Typically (not always) middle aged or older.

This usually comes along with trying to take charge when not needed, even though many people are above them. Largely insufferable to work with

Person 1: Is that person a medic that was telling me how to bag that patient?

Persin 2: Oh no don't worry, that's just a BLS slug. They aren't going anywhere.

Abbreviation for Black Label Society (a.k.a. The greatest band out there )who's front man is Zakk Wylde (a.k.a. The Guitar G.O.A.T.), who is bes known for playing Lead Guitar for OzzY.

We went and got our faces rocked off at the BLS concert.
