a label created by people with nothing more interesting going on in their lives than analyzing other's motives for the way they dress/listen/act.
the same people, by the way, who are always so pissed that a band they like actually makes money, and really needs to let everyone know that they listened to these guys before they were big

All of you are hypocrtical dumbasses.Stop making fun of other people.Scenesters are scene kids who have unique hair and dress with the laest trends.Yes somewhat of followers.Get over it everyone follows something. It's just different things.Scenesters are sometimes sraightedge not always.

Scenester boii:
-tight skinny jeans
-band tee's,buuton up shirts,sweaters ect.ect.
-some sort of slide on shoes
-long hair usually spiked in the back longer in the front(over the face),black or multi-colored
-very unconfident or very confident usually romantic
-music=life

Scenester girlie:
-skinny jeans,skirts(usually stripes,poka dots,&& hearts ect.ect.)
-band tee's,thermals,sweaters,ect.ect.
-flats or other slide on shoes
-medium or shortish hair, layered,over the face,multi-colored or black
-very unconfident or very confident

One who is loyal to or/an originator of a particular scene. Scenesters are the first to realize that said scene is {cool}. The scenester is quickly followed by the {hipster}, who, in endless vain tries to become a {scenester}. The difference being that the true scenester will die with the scene, while the {hipster} moves on to {pose} within another scene/or more likely scenes.

The hipster fucks tried to move in on the Bay Area Underground Hip-Hop Scene, but the scenesters didn't take any $h*t and booted those fake motherfer's the f*$ck out.

a person somewhere between hipster,emo and hardcore, or just all of them combined.Scenesters where alot of colors cause they want attention. They all think that by wearing tight clothes, dying their hair like 8 differnt colors, and having long bangs that their totally original. they all are obsessed with myspace and taking hundreds of pictures of themselves. Everything they do is an attempt to be "different" from everyone else. ANd like 90 percent of them claim to be "straight edge".

Scenester 1:hey, did u see my new default pic on my myspace.

Scenester 2:yeah dude! your hair looks so SCENE! i bet nobody has that many colors in their hair!
