ref below;stout is a class of porter, it came about due to the introduction of other grains than barley being used in addition, due to a tax on malted barley.It has become associated with Ireland laterly due to its popularity there, although it was originaly a London style. Porter as a name came about because of the popularity of the beer with the dock porters.Stout because the other grains introduced gave the beer a fuller or stouter texture rather than flavour.The guiness conection at best relates to their being and early importer/exporter and modern marketing!

Another word for stop sign. It was formed by adding the word Stop to the word Octagon, which is the shape of a stop sign.

stoptional

1. The occurence when no other vehicles are around to see you run or roll through the stop sign.
2. Condition of a stop sign or light when one does not care what the other asshole motorists think when he or she has failed to stop.

passenger: You totally blew through that intersection without stopping. Aren't you worried you'll get caught?

driver: The sign was stoptional.

While driving. Not completely stoping at a stop sign, but rather slowing down and coasting through. Same as a california stop.

Best if driver yells "Stoptional!" while commiting.

Young Eddie amused his friends by shouting "Stoptional" and coasting through a stop sign. Into a tree.
