In the era of internet memes, this is sometimes used in:

1. Video game footages, where you have no chance versus the approaching opponent or vice versa.

2. Any movie or video game scene, where a character attempts to bail (run for his life).

Shorty: I'm on T.V. Oh shit, first "Cops" now this. I'm gonna be a star, son!

Gail Hailstorm (Reporter): So how close were you to the victim?

When someone says or does something that is most obviously false, the other person must take their hand and slap it. This originates from a basketball terminology, when someone does something wrong/stupid the coach makes them get on the line and run.

Monte: "Hey man whats 2+2"
Jordan: "6"
Monte: "hey man you gotta run that" *slaps hand*
