pod person 

A person pretending to be something they aren't, or an impostor. This is inferred because of the old alien movies where alien pods appear on earth and the "pod people" dispose of the humans and slowly reproduce the bodies, pretending to be humans.

The pod person was pretending to be my father, but I knew that he was an alien when he acted differently than my father ever would have.

n. the act of recognizing another user of the Apple iPod digital music player, especially by noticing the characteristic white earbuds, sometimes accompanied by a visual cue of recognition such as a head nod or smile.

Pod spotting in San Francisco last summer was an inevitability because the Apple Expo was in town and the hot topic was digital music.

pod sage 

One of the early adopters to the world of podcasting. Anyone that started their podcast during the fall of 2004 and is still producing a podcast. These "elder statesmen" of the podcasting movement are often sought out for interviews or technical assistance.

When setting up a podcast for the first time, it is a good idea to listen to the advice from a pod sage.

As a podcaster from the early days, he was seen as a pod sage.

Pod Surfing 

In the game Battlefield 2142 players are given access to Launch Pods from either APCs or the Titan Airships.

This allows the player to be launched a limited distance in the battlemap in a short space of time towards the ground but with some control of direction.

Some players have adapted the controls for the game that allows them to cover more distance from the pod (after practice it can even be limitless).

This is normally seen as glitching and is often banned on most game servers.

Note after a patch released from DiCE (Maker of the game) this has been somewhat reduced but not completely eliminated.

Player 1: How did he get to the other side of the map like that?
Player 2: He Podsurfed all the way across
Player 3: Is Pod Surfing allowed??

Someone who continuously listens to his/her iPod, unable to detect being spoken to, and is unaware of any other conversation taking place around him/her.

Pod Chick 

A girl from Westerly Middle or High School that is not mature and they scream a lot. Also, they enjoy drawing on each other and editing many pictures. Pod Chicks will be seen over using the peace sign. Pod Chicks will be seen laughing at things that teachers say. Do not get confused with skater kids, ghetto kids, or goth kids. Original Definition- A girl who only has friends in their pod. Pod Kid can also be another term used which is for boys who act pod chicky by throwing things and doing genuinely annoying things. Most often seen with Pod Chicks. Pod Chicks make up 75% of our school. Damn.

Girl: AHHHHHH!!! Justin Bieber just got his hair cut. (Giggles obnoxiously)

Me: (Gets noose ready and grabs stool) Can't people just grow up? I HATE POD CHICKS!
