An Online Outrage Fiesta (OOF). Usually filled with unhealthy doses of sanctimony, pearl clutching, and certainty. Brings great joy to all involved, particularly social media companies, whose business models rely on OOFs to maximize engagement and profitability.
Virtue signaling conservative commentators whipped up quite an OOF when Dr. Seuss's family stopped publishing some poorly selling books that didn't age that well.
