When Ryan Mayle acts like he is listening but really he is focused on other things... Generally he just yups, and yeahs a person while they are speaking. Quite possibly and more than likely, he is thinking about the future Petty Officer Mayle or tater tots.

Listerfiend

Term used by the character Elias in the Kevin Smith movie Clerks II. It is a "troll" placed by one's parents in a girl's mouth at a young age in order to prevent open-mouth kissing before the age of 21.
