squat

noun - usually, any low area or object to sit down on, like a designated area on the ground, a tree stump, or a bottom step (stoop). Nowadays, a squat can refer to anything you can sit on, e.g., bench, chair, stool.

verb - the act of sitting down.

noun - If someone leaves their seat, at a night club for example, you might ask, "let me get dis squat?"
noun - If you want a seat next to someone, on a bus for example, you might ask, "can I get dis squat?"

verb - after a long hike in the woods, one might say, "aw man! bump this! I'm about to squat for a few minutes."
