Geek is not besides the common belief the same thing as a nerd. A geek is the person who will end up graduating a year before you and getting a job on the first try. While you will have to try to be hired by THEM.

A gamer can seem like the same thing, but in fact, the gamer is only invested in his own games and has little to no knowledge regarding others types of gaming platforms. Not to be confused either with the nerd who is great at school and well implicated in his studies and the pursuit of a big career.
