1. The dumbest this in the world, why would you spend 15 minutes writing something on your phone, when you can call them up and tell them in a minute.

textalanche

The flood of text messages received when you first turn your phone on after it has been off for a long time, or when you finally get a signal. The longer the phone was off, and the more popular you are, the bigger the textalanche is.

Coming home from my weekend ski trip in the mountains, as soon as I was on the highway and had service, I got a textalanche.

I was really excited when I got a textalanche this morning, thinking that my friends wanted to hang out, but instead it was just my mom asking me where I was.
