Maternal Drift

The gradual or ongoing detachment from the emotional or behavioral responsibilities of motherhood, often seen in young mothers who had children during their teenage years and never fully transitioned into a maternal role.
Can involve a lifestyle that mirrors someone in their twenties, with parenting taking a backseat.
“She had her son at 16, but it’s like she never grew into being a mom—still out every weekend. Classic case of maternal drift.”
“Maternal drift hit hard after she realized she missed out on her youth and tried to reclaim it.”
“Don’t confuse maternal drift with bad parenting—it’s deeper, like being emotionally stuck between two lives.”

Maherist

A follower of the cultural and political doctrines of Bill Maher. See Maherism.
You could call that friend a "perpetual skeptic" or a "vocal non-participant." Another fitting term might be "armchair critic," as they critique others’ ideas without ever committing to a stance themselves. This way, they maintain an air of being "right" by default since they never fully engage in the discussion or take a definitive position.

We just called them Maherist!

Maherism

**Maherism (noun):** A cultural and political ideology characterized by contrarianism and scapegoating, often exemplified by a tendency to challenge mainstream opinions while humorously critiquing the past without offering constructive solutions for the future. Followers, known as maherists, are masterful at being "always right" by never committing to a position, allowing them to critique others’ ideas with impunity. They revel in the absurdity of political discourse, using satire and irony to express their views while maintaining a perpetual air of superiority, as they declare, “See, I told you it wouldn’t work!” whenever an alternative fails.
My friend, studies Maherism every Friday night on HBO.

Matero

One that enjoys consuming yerba mate, a traditional herb drink from Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, and Paraguay. If served cold, it is called tereré.
Messi has been spotted at almost every match drinking mate, as he is Argentine. Materos don't have to be from the nations it's native to, but many are.

Maher Bourji

Maher is a friendly , calm, yet short tempered person. If you are on mahers good side you are so lucky. he doesnt know how amazing he truly is , he can light a room with his contagious smile and golden brown eyes, he can make you happy and comfortable without even trying, but if you're on his bad side he could quite literally kill you himself or with his bitter words . he is very intelligent and strong but sometimes will doubt himself , he is also brutally honest and he's great at helping people although he may not see it himself. he's not like the men of this generation he's one of a kind, if you get this Maher never ever let him go or take him for granted .

Maher Zain

The nickname given to the singers born during the fasting month of Ramadan, like the rapper Quavo (born Tuesday, April 2nd 1991). This nickname is named after the Moslem singer named Maher Zain born during Ramadan on Thursday, July 16th 1981, known for his songs "Barakallah", "Thank You Allah", and his most important song titled "Ramadan".
After discovering that both Maher Zain and Quavo were born during Ramadan, I started calling Quavo the 'Maher Zain of hip-hop' for bringing a fresh perspective to spiritual themes in his music!

When I hear those uplifting melodies and heartfelt lyrics in Quavo's new track, I can't help but feel those "Maher Zain vibes" — the kind of spiritual energy that reminds us of artists born during Ramadan like him and Natali Yura!
