Excuse Cloud

To give a reason against something which isn't the actual reason one is against it.

An example of excuse clouding is easily seen in terms of a fictitious conversation:

Jack: "Want to go to the movies?"

Jill: "I don't have any money." (When in reality she just doesn't want to go see that movie).

Jack: "I'll pay for you."

Jill: Some other argument other than just saying she doesn't want to see that movie.

Someone with perennial bad luck. If something can go from bad to worse and it just does, and you leave bad karma in your wake, you are a jinx cloud.

Matty has fibromyalgia and his laptop holder fell on him, all bruised up, that dude is a total jinx cloud. He also has bad parking karma, no app can help him.

When you fart under a blanket and then pull the blanket down, releasing the noxious fumes into the general area.

The benefit of mushroom clouding is that because of the blanket, the fart is frequently muffled or even goes unheard

My wife and I were watching TV in bed when she grabbed the remote and changed the channel. So I let one rip under the blanket, mushroom clouding her as retribution.
