upstate new york

Upstate NY is anything that's not either NYC or Long Island (how the hell do you dumbasses consider Long Island upstate where it's not north of NYC at all)? Places like Poughkeepsie are just Southern Upstate. And you NYC ppl need to stop thinking that you're so great. You're just a bunch of Yankee-loving sons of bitches that believe that there's nothing to life except money, business, and being so damn agressive. And you guys are such punes when it comes to weather. You guys have warm weather, face it. Sure, upstate is all mountain, woods, falls, farms, and small ghetto of cities, but it's much better than being all hustle-bustle and arrogant all the time.

NYC-er: "OMG! It's sooo cold today!!"
Upstate-er: "What's the temperature?"
NYC-er: "It's like 40 degrees!!"
Upstate-er: "And that's cold???"
NYC-er: "Yea it is! It's too cold to drive ferociously like the PMS-like middle-aged bitches that NYC ladies are. I'm freezing!! And you-shut the hell up"

Grand Island New York

An island suburban community located between Niagara Falls and Buffalo, New York. A boring little burg that can only be accessed by aging, massive old bridges that are under a constant state of repair. Inhabited largely by nigger rich dagos and polacks, white trash and "new money" from Riverside or Tonawanda. It's home to a shabby 1970's Holiday Inn haunted by a little she-bitch ghost and "Fantasy Island", a run down amusement park. There's no mall or theater but lots of apartment complexes and overpriced housing subdivisions (and the "projects" a '50s leftover tract of dumpy duplexes). Largely overrun by out of control spoiled brat kids that can neatly be categorized in three groups: wiggers, jocks or freaks. You can usually find them running amok in the hand me down Lincolns or Cadillacs their parents give them, in search of drugs in Niagara Falls or just wreaking havoc on "The Island".

Billy's dad was promoted to foreman at the Tonawanda Engine Plant. Now Billy's family is gonna leave the Falls and buy a ranch-house on Grand Island New York. Good thing Billy's mom is a meth-head, they'll fit right in!

New York

New York is the best state in the United States. It has the number one city in the world (New York City), which is known to be the most exciting city, and the city that never sleeps. There's always something to do in New York. In NY, you have Long Island, which is one of the more expensive places to live. On Long Island there is Brooklyn, Queens, Nassau County and Suffolk County. You are right near the beach, and there are extremely nice places such as the Hamptons where a lot of famous people live. New York City has a lot of people, including a lot of famous people that live there. Hip-hop began in NYC, and many stars today were born in New York. You also have upstate New York, which looks like a totally different place. In Upstate New York, you have beautiful lakes and mountains, where it snows a lot in the winter and is warm in the summer. There are scenic places such as the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York. New York is known to be one of the most expensive states to live in, and it is known to have the best education system in the United States. New York is home of the Yankees, Mets, Islanders, Rangers, Giants, & Jets. People that aren't from New York will be able to tell that someone is when they talk because of their New York accent. It is very distinct, but only people from NYC and Long Island have this accent, people from Upstate New York do not. People who live in New York, are very proud to be from New York..and they will let you know that it is superior to all the other states in the US!
