Since Joanne's boyfriend has been monitoring her email's we've maintained incog-negro communications.

Since I've been slaying Marks mom, she's put me on the family plan and bought me a bat phone so we could communicate Incog-Negro.

Considering I've left Joe a minimum of five voice messages without as much as one returned call, I think what we've got here is a failure to communicate.

communitysource

Communitysource (and communitysourcing) is a reframing of the crowdsourcing meme. Instead of asking a bunch of random individuals to help you with a task, project, or other work, instead, take the time to cultivate a strong community of people who help each other succeed.

For example, designers should team up with developers and writers, and all of those people could benefit from knowing business development and project management experts. They can refer work to each other, help each other with projects, and be a good support system generally.

Communitysourcing as an endeavor can be a sustainable way to create strong ties within a group of individuals regardless of their shared goals.

Instead of asking a bunch of strangers to help us with this project, can't we communitysource it? Doesn't anyone here know an expert who can handle this?

Decapitated Communication

Communication not directly involving the head or, by extension, the body. This includes any form of internet chat aswell as, technically, letters. The significance of it is that the lack of emotion and tone inputs into decapitated conversations can cause serious miscommunications. A simple example is the difficulty of conveying sarcasm via writing. While not impossible, it is much more difficult than when talking to someone. Importantly, decapitated communication is not the same as long distance communication, as many luddites will have you believe. Video chatting, for instance, is not decapitated. Neither is simply talking on the phone. In both of these cases, there is direct input of the head - in the case of the phone, it is only voice but it is still sufficient to make communication much more seamless.

Emoticons were a noble attempt at overcoming the barriers of decapitated communication, despite achieving only limited success.

The limitations of decapitated communication make discussions about emotional situations, such as relationships, clumsy and often unsuccessful. It is because of decapitation that such conversations can often take a turn for the worse.
