A city that has a lot of activities for individuals to enjoy alone. It is not mandatory to visit this city with a group of friends or loved ones. Or if visiting with friends, the group can split up and do their own thing.

Vegas is an independent city. You can gamble at IP till 10 in the morning while I sleep and get up to go to the forum shops. We will meet up later at Krave.

The person or group of people in a "clique" that while they comply with everything the leader of the group (a.k.a the slave driver) demands are unaware that they do so, and still think they are completely and totally independent. While being the slave driver's bitches, they still believe that they are not and have their own lives.

Independent Woman

A woman who pays her own bills, buys her own things, and doesn't feel she needs a man's approval. Meanwhile, she complains that she can't find a man because there aren't enough good men out there. She also has a 1,000 point criteria list for what she wants in a man and feels like she deserves this kind of man because she can financially support herself. All the while she forgets that she can't be independent and interdependent (in a relationship) at the same time. Instead of realizing that she would need to change her mindset to find a man who fits even a fraction of that 1,000 point criteria, she blames society, her race, statistics, and virtually anything but herself for her situation.
