dehancement

An "upgrade" to a product or service, which, while intended to be an enhancement or improvement, actually renders that product or service less useful or valuable than it previously was.

The word can be used as a noun. Its verb form is "to dehance". Its adjective form is "dehanced" (see below).

The most common example of dehancements are in the software industry. For example, the 2008 edition of Microsoft Word was dehanced. It is more difficult to navigate through screens and commands, and in general much less effective than earlier versions.

Tea Party Derangement Syndrome (TPDS)

The acute onset of paranoia in Tea Party followers that cause them to mistrust their fellow Americans when they appear not to endorse their Far-Right ideals. This causes them to take a dualistic approach to those who disagree with them. Often leading them to never give the opposing side's opinions a chance in their minds

What the matter with that guy? All I did was state my view on the matter and they accused me of being a Socialist. Don't let it get to you they are suffering from Tea Party Derangement Syndrome (TPDS)

Pelosi Derangement Syndrome

The acute onset of paranoia in otherwise normal people in reaction to the policies, the statements -- nay -- the very existence of Nancy Pelosi.

Person A: "I may not agree with everything Nancy Pelosi says, but that domestic policy agenda she supports seems pretty good, doesn't it?"

Person B: "What?! Queen Pelossshhi?! She's bad for America! She's drunk on power! She supports corrupt politicians! She's a defeat-o-crat! Have you seen her nose? She's an obstructionist! Limiting debate on bills was proper THEN, but NOW it's just hateful partisanship! Did you see how she didn't stand during the SOTU address? She hates our troops! Forget about the minimum wage, health care, jobs... I don't need any of those! They're just tricks to help the terrorists win!"

Person A: "Wow, you have a serious case of Pelosi Derangement Syndrome."

Derran

He is gorgeous! This man has the most beautiful green eyes with lashes for days. His skin is sweet like carmel candy; He's tall, a height that commands attention and makes women want to bow down. And OMG his lips! Those babies are like the sunset at the beach, you just can't stop looking. Derran is a talented singer/song writer. His voice is so incredible, when he's done singing you'll feel like you just came out if a trance. He's got a heart of pure gold. Derran is absolute perfection.

A new song came on the radio today and I just knew it was Derran! His beauty was pouring through the speakers
