Most sensations on t'internet go viral for about a day or a few days. Viral works well for that. Super viral on the other is reserved for those sensations that last forever and strike across multiple media platforms. Like when the Daily Mail (FAIL!) steal them and propagate them as news.

Think 2girls1cup or Numa Numa guy back in the day. Its like viral but its bigger better and pounds your ass with greater venom!

Girl: Oh, man, that video's so close to iconic, but not quite. It's still in the YouTube viral zone.
