The group, which consisted of MCs Q-Tip, Phife Dawg, and DJ Ali Shaheed Muhammad, was well ahead of their time and used mixes of jazzand hip-hopin their music. They were a strong and vital part of the Native Tongues Posse. They are best known as pioneers of Alternative Hip-hop and have released an enormous amount of critically acclaimed singles such as the ever famous "Electric Relaxation", "Bonita Applebum", "Check the Rhime", and "Scenario".
