Acorn Politics

A condition caused by panic mongering in political circles. The act of panicking the public for the purpose of pushing ahead a false agenda.

An example was first found in children's story "The Sky is Falling" Chicken Little and Henny Penny, panicked when an acorn fell on their heads. Acorn Politics is using the media and popular culture to panic the masses regarding a perceived social ill. examples: weapons of mass destruction, anthropomorphic global warming; Y2K global computer failures

Pizza politics

when two or more people fight over which restaurant has the superior pizza.

Josh: No way man , mikes pizzeria is the best pizza in town!

Nick: hell no! the crust at mikes pizza is like a cracker. mama mias pizza has deep dish pizzas and that amazing zesty sauce.

Josh: yeah but mikes pizza has free toppings.

Nick: lets decide, ill get a slice from mama mias and you'll get one from mikes and we will decide who is the top pie so we can finally end this pizza politics that has been going on for 5 years

hood politics

Essentially street politics played out according to a “gangsta” ethos; either in a “hood” per se, or more widely in national politics where the white-collar mafia ethos informs decisions, such as in the House and Senate of the United States of America.

We are running a country here and let me remind you that the bottom line in hood politics is not laws, not ideals, not it’s people; it’s money and it always has been.

Small Town Politics

when someone is selected for something of importance or great honor from their family name or possibly religious based names.

John Smith was the best baseball player to ever play for his high school. John is now graduated and his little brother Matt Smith is a freshman, but he isn't close to being as good as John, but he was still selected to be on varsity even though Tim Johnson, a sophomore, is better than Matt. Matt Smith made varsity because of "small town politics" and Tim Johnson didn't make the team because of "small town politics."

Liberal Hippy Politics

Liberal Hippy Politics, is a concept that faded into history during the late 70s or early 80s after hitting its peak around 1972.
The hippy political movement was an anti-establishment force that was organized by anti-war college students. In 1968, Bobby Kennedy was the first presidential candidate supported by the hippies and George McGovern was the last major hippy supported candidate in 1972.
During the 70s, the hippies grew up and became yuppies and supported moderate mainstream candidates like Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton.

Liberal Hippy Politics was the driving force that lead to the end of the Viet Nam war.

Spliff politics

The process of deciding who will be the next person to toke on a spliff - certain rules sometimes apply such as 'roler's privelages' in which the person who roled the spliff gets to smoke it first, even if it isn't his or her weed. Sometimes when someone is really desperate they will start some bullshit conversation with the person who has the spliff to try and get them to pass it to them next. It can be a race against time!

Jon says: After you on that mate!
Nick says: Oi! Rolers privelages thanks!
Jon says: Ahhh spliff politics! Ok after you then Nick.
Nick says: You got it
