"Halloween" is an Autumn
holiday original derived from a Pagan holiday contemporarily named "All Hallow's Eve." It's more traditional name is Balls Hollow Eve and is based on the practice in which on
October 31st Men would carve glory holes into pumpkins and jack off into them; making their balls hollow. This practice was believed to help un-wanted pregnancies which would lead to unwanted births in
late July and August. Balls Hollow Eve was practiced to help stagnant and decline infant mortality as July and August were
two of the hottest months of the year. Women would typical
carry their newborns with them as they plowed fields in the
heat; which was often untenable for the infants.
Overtime Men began carving faces into the pumpkins as a form of archaic porn to help hollow their balls faster and do, what they believed, was their part in stopping infant mortality. The faces encouraged the men to Jack off more in these pumpkins that eventually became known as Jack Off Lanterns or Jack
O Lanterns.
