Pleasantville

A movie some people pretend to be stuck in.

People had missed the way that people once respected one another no matter what they looked like, and it was a lot to ask everyone to abandon that all so that one dork could get all the respect she thought everyone in a town she wasn't even originally from owed her. She was more like the girl that moved from somewhere almost like Pleasantville (except not in the 1950's) to the nearest mid-sized city and thought that she was there to save everyone from Pleasantville (of the 1950's), when really she was the closest thing to Pleasantville left and didn't even know it. She thought she was on the cutting edge of feminism or civil rights and was a champion of it in much the same way that Jim Jones thought he was a champion of civil rights in his own life altering disruptive way. Jim Jones was also from a small town before moving to a mid sized city claiming to "enlighten" them all and save them from themselves, and he wasn't making anything better or stronger by being there.

You would think people would be concerned about just a part or a piece of hell breaking loose from the rest of hell, like in the movie Pleasantville. It would be like a puzzle missing a few pieces, something would be terribly wrong with the whole picture.
