Used to disparage your affiliation with someone making a complete jackass out of himself. In college it almost always means “come pick up your drunk friend who can’t handle his liquor and is about to get his ass kicked, drive home drunk, or in some other way embarrass you and your fraternity.” Can also be applied during adulthood to mock your association with someone woefully unqualified claiming to be with your organization or institution.
Hey Stanford, come get your boy Dr. Scott Atlas, the radiologist (glorified X-ray Tech but with MRIs) directing Coronavirus policy in the United States. He’s on Fox News every day saying dumb shit like masks don’t work and everyone should catch COVID. He still claims to be with the Hoover Institution.
