gender-affirming care

Medical care that affirms the gender of an individual. This can include hormone supplements, hormone blockers, and, in some cases, surgical operations. basically a view where certain roles are expected on girls and boys. for example, young girls are expected to like barbies and ponies, while young boys are expected to like cars and dinosaurs. for clothing, women and girls are expected to wear skirts and dresses, while boys and men are expected to wear pants and trousers. gender stereotypes may affect a childs views.
