There's two different meanings. (See example below.)

Girl: "I just wanna be...friends with benefits," usually means: "Yeah, you're cool but...I don't really wanna be seen with you. Sorry."

Guy: "I just wanna be...friends with benefits," usually means: "Yeah, I just wanna get in your pants without having to do anything for you."

Usually two people that are inseparable, tolerate each other's crazy lives, deal with their emotions whether happy or sad, would go to the ends of the earth to make sure their friend is happy, and other people are usually jealous of their unbreakable bond

When a girl doesn't want to be with you, but wants you to continue prioritizing her because let's be honest, you're the pussy who cares more about her, and she likes knowing she matters to someone, and will use that to come around you when no one is around for her. You know almost everything about her and you're always there for her, while she knows nothing of you and john snow.
