Soup Time 

A time period between 6:00-6:30 PM in which it is the designated time for eating soup. People should not eat soup out of these hours.

Well would you look at that? It seems that it is soup time! I can finally eat this soup I have been waiting for.

desi standard time 

A timezone imagined by those of Indian Subcontinental descent, resulting in a time from 30 minutes to 3 hours past the actual time. Although DST may not be specified by a desi, one must assume this difference and add to the promised time accordingly.

Jane: "What time will you be over for dinner?"
Jaspreet: "6 or so." (desi standard time)
Jane: "Okay, I'll have things ready at 8:30 for you."
