Yardy

A thing or situation that is a bit messy/disgusting/grim.

Not to be confused with 'yardie', which is Jamaican slang.

This word is only used in Sheffield and mainly by people who went/go to High Storrs and King Edwards schools.

Person 1: "I've just been sick"
Person 2: "Mate that's yardy"

To lose all of your belongings (i.e. wallet or purse) either by dropping everything on the ground or having it stolen.

Amir: "Brian, what happened to your wallet"
Brian: "I'm drunk, I have no idea"
Amir: "Dudebro, you just got yardsaled!"

a derogatory term used to deflate one's ego. it is used to declare someone so trashy and poor that they would have a plastic bird, commonly a pink flamingo, decorating their front yard.
