Jack, a self-proclaimed supporter of his friends' successes, often masked his micro-toxic tendencies. Despite his seemingly kind demeanor, he would subtly undermine their achievements through backhanded compliments and snide remarks, revealing his underlying envy and passive aggression.

Toxic

A person in your family who doesn’t work or provide any sort of positivity. They are always negative and no matter the situation can find a way to get in an argument about anything. They are often free loaders and have no self awareness.
