Forty-five Days of Stupid

That time generally starting a few days before Thanksgiving and ending sometime after the New Year where everyone appears to lose all common sense. Highlighted by events such as Black Friday, Drunk Christmas Parties, Fights over parking stalls at malls, erratic driving on freeways, an unexplainable increase in the number of people out and about, and general chaos wherever people tend to congregate.

Dude this sucks. I try to go to a store and I get hit by the Forty-Five Days of Stupid. People cutting me off on the drive over, fights over a parking stall, crabby-ass folks in line at the check out, and clerks that look like they would rather kill you and stick you in a closet than ring up your tab.

I'm gonna go in the basement with a six-pack and wait it out.

Fresh for Days

To stop working early or leave something unfinished for the next person to come along.

Derived from shift workers whereby graveyard shift, the most unappreciated and thankless of all the shifts, comes to a stopping point, and leaves the rest "fresh" or ready to be picked up by the upcoming day shift.

This can be used both as a legitimate response to an inquiry concerning turnover, or as a joke used at the beginning of the shift when the work expectations are outlined by the boss

Example 1

Night Foreman over the radio: "Will you boys be able to stretch the wire to the heat pump by quitting time? Or did you spend all night sleeping and stealing instead of working?"

Electrician in response: "Nope, it's gonna be fresh for days"

Night Foreman in thought "Damn lazy sparkies"

Example 2

Shift Supervisor: "All right guys, we need to have these pipes installed by lunch time, got it?"

Lead Pipe-fitter: "Gotcha, fresh for days"

Everyone else: "fresh for days; damn right; take a break etc..."

An individual who cannot handle their cannabis, and as a result becomes severely high for a long period of time, often leading to a state of unconsciousness.

Blue T-Days

Blue T-Days are the two days in the week that start with "T" as in Tuesday and Thursday, those are the days you wear blue underwear or panties.

Guy:"Hold on let me check." *glances down at their underwear real quick* "Tuesday or Thursday."
Girl:"Blue T-Days?"
Guy:"Yep."
Girl:"Oh."
