Chicagoland

Chicagoland is the area bound by Chicago and all of it's suburbs. It goes as far as University Park, Matteson, Sauk Village in the south, Joliet in the southwest, Plainfield, Naperville, Geneva, Batavia in the west, Elgin in the Northwest and the Waukegan area in the north.

Chicagoland is huge and everyone seems to know eachother.

I don't live in Chicago, but I live in Chicagoland.

Your driving and all of sudden you need to turn around, so you do so on the spot, whether you need to hold up traffic or not.

A person who is born and raised in the US but whos ancestors(parents,grandparents or great-grand parents)were born in Mexico.He/she may speak spanish and english though most Chicanos speak english only.Many first-generation(people born and raised in the US during the 40's & 50's) Chicanos as well their children speak a dialect of spanish called Calo rather than traditional Spanish.Chicanos during the 1940's created a culture based on their parents Mexican culture and their own American culture. Many Chicanos have been instrumental in changing Mainstream american culture in terms of Art,Music and language.

Freddie Prinze was the first mainstream Latino Star ..yeah too bad he wasn't Chicano.

Chicano, Chicana

Chicano/a is a state of mind. Yes one must be Mexican American to be a Chicano, but not necessarily an anti-social or left wing militant.

Remember the key part of being a Chicano is that we are Mexican American. Chicanos pride ourselves on our education, Famila, art, warrior qualities and our love for God.

real gangster rap made by mexican/americans also known as chicanos usually bald headed cholos who are gang affiliated to surenos or the mexican mafia nortenos are also chicano rappers but their rap sounds like black rap(no disrespect to black people) and nortenos use the n word alot that also applies to texas chicano rappers and chicano rappers from nyc but sureno chicano rappers from southern california and some from nevada and arizona talk only about gangbanging and about the mexican raza and about their brown pride.

Chicano rapper: Chicano rap talks more about gangbanging and brown pride and reggaton only talks about having sex while black rap only talks about bitches and money.
