post modernism

A mating ritual involving an intricate non-melodic vocal performance. The similarity between this mating ritual and language used to communicate information is purely coincidental and has lead to much confusion.
Alan Sokal's recent attempt to communicate with post modernists had mixed results; the post modernists attempted to mate with Alan, but no offspring have yet been reported. Exactly how post modernists reproduce, and if they can breed with humans is still being researched.

"'Insert random noun' is a socialist construct" translates to "ooh baby, don't you look sexy. Do you like it post modernism style?"

post-vacation code

the mandatory waiting period to allow the vacationer to rest when they have come home.

the code implies that the vacationer is given at least a 1 day resting period before you bother them to go out.

we could ask taylor to come along but she just got back from san fransisco and we should stick to the post-vacation code.

Post Function. The event that immediately follows a party or event. Includes only a sub-set of original attendees. Typically this is the primary source of embarrassing tales of debauchery and over-consumption of alcohol; however, it not to be missed. See afterparty. Derived from pre funk.

A person who comments on pictures/statuses that they are entirely unrelated to and unwelcome in.

After the newsletter was sent to 9,000 readers, Brad found time for post-editing the copy, suggesting the removal of a highly offensive comma.
