Tikbait, a noun of quantity, is similar to clickbait, but for the TikTok audience. Tikbait is junk video, often devoid of useful information or intent, but designed to stroke a vapid individual's insatiable need for attention, like a thirst trap.

So much tikbait is wannabe content creators who really, really, really want to go viral and have been mistakenly told to fake it until they make it.
