I didn't expect Sally to answer my email on Christmas Eve; she has serious Inbox Tourette's.

Inbox Me

When a computer user is directed to contact the other through ways of electronic mail, FB, tWiTter, and other networking applications. Some of the older generations, particularly the baby boomers and or earlier, have little to no understanding of these internet slang/concepts. With guidance they may come to use our applications with confidence and better their understanding of today's Generation Y and technologies created back @X.

Inbox Me: using FB so umm Mom, if you insisit on being within my hidden friends list, start using my mailbox/inbox cuz I'll be blocking you from my Wall if you can't understand the difference. Love, You generous child.

inbox fade

A condition in which an important unread or un-answered message in your inbox fades from view, because you ignored it initially, and it's now been pushed down the list by later messages.

"Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, your email was was caught by my inbox fade."

Inboxicated

Following discussions that pussywhipped is not the same as dickmatised we wanted something to describe this feeling. Much like being dickmatised by someone with a penis, a person could also fall hard for someone with a vagina (box is colloquial slang)

IMbolism

When you are Instant Messaging with several different indiviuals at the same time and you mistakingly IM the wrong person. The worst IMbolisms result when you IM a negative comment about a person to that person. This usually results in a wash of panic as you try desperately to cover your error- often times compounding the error.

John and I were IM'ing during yesterday's conference call and we were talking about how much of a slacker Mike was. I mistakingly selected Mike's window and wrote- "Mike's not just a slacker, he's a real jerk." It wasn't until John sent me a message in HIS window that I realize my IMbolism. I tried to pass off to Mike that it was a joke...but he knew what was up.
