Removed from a game or removed from play; can be applied to any situation where one is not permitted to participate in an activity.

Derived from the sporting world where players often sit on a bench when not playing. A player can be benched for many reasons including but not limited to: playing or performing poorly or sucking, disobeying the coach or leader, unsportsmanlike conduct, not following the game plan, showing up late, etc.

Coach says I'm benched because I can't catch today.

Man I thought I had a chance with that cute girl over there but she totally benched me.

Brecheisen

The surnames of a long lost powerful tribe from the Rhine region of Germany. When Attila the Hun reached Germany, there was one name he feared over all others. So the little Brecheisen, named Erik went to the new land of AMERICA, where he met a very nice lady. And populated the new world with Brecheisens. So a very little known fact is that everyone born in America after 1750 is actually a Brecheisen. And beware of the knees.

Origins coming from New Albany, IN...a group of kids who try to act like the people from the show Laguna Beach but live no where near a beach. These kids may also try to create problems and so called "drama" for no reason, just so they can pretend they're on the show, or living that lifestyle.
