In real life, it is someone who tries too hard to be someone,like something,etc, to the point that they fail it.
In gaming, it is someone who attempts to be cool by either killing people so much, and talking slang. In open world games such as GTA V, tryhards are the ones who use cool looking vehicles and throw destruction on you
