When used for non texan/cowboy wannabes. Another name for the gortex crew in the 90s.

Anyone sterotyping someone not wearing asian textiles like gortex with some crappy brand on them is a Tex. (Ie a Columbia jacket)

Tex-Mex

Tex-Mex is used commonly to to define male white/european together in couples with non-white hispanics, hence the name, "Tex-Mex", coming from Texas-Mexico. It's less commonly used in male hispanic/female white.
