Spock Rocker

Oft-associated with the emo and screamo scenes.

A punk/indie musician or fan whose fashion sense makes them look like Star Trek Vulcan, Dr. Spock. Spock Rockers often have pasty skin, and favor undersized shirts, highwater pants, clunky, dark shoes, and a helmet of dyed black hair.

Some Spock-Rockers prefer shotgun blast hairstyles, gelling their hair into forms of bedhead that look like the exit wounds of, well, a shotgun blast.

The Spock Rock look reached its peak of popularity in the late '90s with teens and young adults who were fans of bands like The Locust, websites like MakeoutClub.com, and gatherings such as hardcore festivals.

There were all these Spock Rockers at the show at the Che in San Diego.

Pokez has a virtual Spock Rock wall of fame near the register.

someone who doesn't know the difference between alternative rock, classic rock, heavy metal, death metal, pop punk, nu metal and possibly even indie. however, this poser will buy a guitar and take up lessons, in a way that will make you cringe seen as 90% of guys have alrealdy jumped on this bandwagon already. they act like they're really 'kwl' and go around proclaiming how good 'rock' is and telling everyone to listen to some 'decent' music, when they dont even know what theyre talking about. their music taste will probably change in a year anyway!!

Rocker's Mumble

A condition common among lead singers of rock bands, characterized by an awful butchering of otherwise simple lyrics. Rocker's Mumble is partially responsible for causing people to stop caring about lyrics. This condition can be caused by use of narcotics or the singer's style quirks.

Ozzy Osbourne does not have rocker's mumble. Though you can't understand him when he's talking, he's clear as crystal when singing.

Kurt Cobain had a case of rocker's mumble, more due to the grunge style than anything else.
