release tarka

To take a dump, drop the kids off at the pool, log out, lay a cable, curl one out, crimp off a length, sink the Bismarck etc.

For the uneducated, Tarka was an otter.

For the *really* uneducated, an otter is a slick water dwelling mammal which slides gracefully into the water. Oh, and they're long and brown.
Blimey! Never should've eaten that fifth burger last night - I'm touching cloth here - mind if I nip off and release Tarka?

reheaslow

A strangely Polish way of saying the English word "rehearsal." Often invoked amongst other misspellings, strange wordings, portmanteaux, and other egregious verbal tropes. Saying one is going to "reheaslow" instead of "rehearsal" is a form of defiance, denying the uninformed listener a true understanding of the word's meaning but still invoking the spirit of self-betterment through practice.
Sorry for delay, but it's holliday time and we don;t have any reheaslows now, so it's a bit difficult to meet together.
PLease give us few days more, and we'll decided how we'll do this interviev, ok?

filet and release

The subtle art of catching fish out of season, removing the meat, then releasing the remains back to the sea.
This is mainly done to avoid being caught by a Fish & Game warden, and thus avoiding a hefty fine.

A takeoff on the term catch and release
"It'll have to be filet and release, if I catch a salmon on this fishing trip, since the season was over last week."

Dead soul release (DSR)

Term for when an electronic music producer / or musician in general releases a tune on their own digital label that no-one buys, listens too or gives a s*** about just so they can say they have a release. This can be accidental if this only happens with one release. If however they release scores of tunes in this way they are clearly either:

(i) Trying to counterfeit reputation ie. trying to mislead people of their true standing in the game to get bookings / further releases

(ii) Trying to be counterfeit status among their contemporaries

(iii) Tragically deluded.

Jim: "Wow DJ Killa Sniper is pretty big in the game. He has 15 releases".

Jack: "Nah, I looked them up. They're all DSR (dead soul releases).
