Something that's good, a positive description of a thing. A reversed meaning, along the lines of 'bad', 'wicked', 'bum' etc.

Coined by Chris Morris in the popular UK TV show Nathan Barley.

Back to the Future

Movie trilogy begun in 1985 and completed late 80s. Starring Michael J Fox and Christopher Lloyd. The plot revolves around Marty McFly, an 80s teenager who just wants to play in a rock band and take his girlfriend Jennifer to the lake for some romance. One day his best friend, eccentric inventor Doc Brown, creates a time machine which is in the form of a DeLorean car fitted with a flux capacitor. Marty accidentally gets sent back from 1985 to 1955 and immediately prevents his parents from falling in love, thus erasing himself from existence. He also has just one chance to get back to his own time when lightning strikes the clocktower. Luckily he manage to get his mom and dad back together and get Back to the Future. As soon as he gets back, Doc turns up from the future telling him that something must be done about his kids. So off they go again (this time the DeLorean can fly) and get into a whole heap more trouble. It's a very funny and quintessentially 80s movie. Even the future is 80s. Its great.

1955 Doc: Marty, I'm sure in 1985 plutonium is available in every corner store... but in 1955 it's a little hard to come by!

1985 Doc: It was Libyan Terrorists. They wanted me to build them a bomb... so I took their plutonium and in return gave them a shoddy bomb casing filled with used pinball machine parts!

Marty McFly: This is heavy.

Doc: Great Scott!

Futurama

The perfect mix of random hilarity, irony, and repeating jokes seen on TV. Unfortunately canceled by FOX, there will be no further seasons AFAIK. Still contains the random moments seen in shows like Robot chicken and Family Guy without becoming purely random, and sill contains irony without over- using it like the Simpsons. It uses about the same, # of repeating jokes as Aqua Team Hunger Force.

The number of jokes in a Futurama episode make it feel like it lasts for an hour... and it still goes to fast.

Futuramaed

What happens to a show when it is put in a bad time slot that guarantees it will be preempted by another regularly schedule TV event. The resulting pile of unaired episodes and low ratings then justify its cancellation.

Usually only doable by Fox Broadcasting with its 7-7:30 Sunday slot since the NFL and Nascar are variable length, regularly scheduled events that run in the fall and spring.

Fox just Futuramaed King of the Hill by moving it to the 7pm slot just in time for football season.

Just as utilize means to make something utile, futilize means to make something futile.

If Leah gets an abortion, this will futilize all the bickering over who will be the godparents of the baby.

Global warming futilizes the production of fur coats.

The weevils will futilize the farm land.
