To accidentally become really good friends with someone before you realize that you want to be more than that, so you become stuck in the friendzone. It is a very hard and awkward place to be in, so avoid it at all costs.

When you are expected to support a girl you really like while she searches for a smarter, richer, or more handsome boyfriend. There is little you can do to get out without feeling like a dick. All in all, one of the meanest things girls do, whether they mean it or not.

This is the transfer of "just friends"-people who are excluded from emotional and sexual interest, despite personality and physical attractiveness- into the status of "possibilities", or potential partners.
