California bitch-slap

Similar to a standard bitch-slap, except that the hand is cocked nearly straight-armed, far behind the slapper, as if they were spreading their arms wide. The movements are heavily exaggerated, to emphasize the severity of the situation that calls for such a slap. The motion is to represent having to reach back to California for the wind-up. Known as the Jersey bitch-slap when used in California.

Hotel California

Hotel California is written by a band called the eagles. There is much agurement of the overall meaning. What i have pulled out of the song is being trapped in fame, for example you can check out anytime you like but you can never leave (meaning you wont be left alone/forgotten). Another line in this song is up ahead in the distance I saw a shimmering light, meaning being drawn in by the beauty and money and wanting it all. Such a lovely place, meaning a lovely life that only the bystanders see. I was thing to myself this could be heaven or hell, being good or bad. Basically overall saying the horrors behind the scenes the bystanders dont see. I had to find the passage back to the place i was before, finally realizing they did not want this after all.

California Shuffle

The awkward shuffling and lunging that happens when one attempts to walk accross the path of a slow-moving car (usually in a parking lot). The pedestrian, in an act of benevolence, signals for the car to keep going, only to be waved on by the driver. Both the driver and the pedestrian then wave to thank the other, both thinking that it is there turn to go. Both go, only to realize the other is moving as well. What follows is a series of false starts by both parties. The driver's actions are similar to those involved in "yoking the whip", yet are in a completely different context and have a completely different rationale.

Where were you? I thought you were right behind us...

-Yo, I was about to follow you guys into Taco Bell but this fool coming out of the drive through had me doing the "California Shuffle" for like 5 minutes straight.
