POG Bait

A military term that is used to describe anything that makes a POG, or a Personnel Other than Grunt, feel better about their military service.

While some military members have violent acts of service and heroism, or even sweat on their brow to validate their military service, POG Bait serves as a tangible reminder, such as a challenge coin, or a certificate of commendation, that the service member was exceptionally good at their low-risk desk job, and should feel very very good about themselves.

"The Battalion Commander gave me challenge coin because I have been doing such a good job at filling out this Excel Document!"

"Yeah dude... couldn't you be doing that in a corporate office? That's just POG Bait!"

trigger bait

Something that is said for the sole purpose of setting someone off. The person then deflates and de-escalates the situation by that what was said was trigger bait.

Person 1: Whiplash is such a mid movie.
Person 2: Okay well that's clearly trigger bait.

A form of baiting viewers to watch till the end, as the title and thumbnail happens near the end of the video, often used as a kind of "clickbait".

Cooker bait

Cooker bait is when a mainstream media outlet intentionally adds antivaxer buzzwords into headlines to generate clicks. For example, "died suddenly" or "mystery illness" this often sends Cookers into a frenzy in comment sections of mainstream media outlets. Cooker bait can be anything from plane crashes to young people passing away, any situation where someone has died unexpectedly is perfect for cooker bait.

Cougar Bait

1: A young individual, typically male, considered in his prime, whom will intentionally seek out locations highly frequently by older women, in hope to get swiped up by a carnivorous cougar, with a craving for fresh meat.

Tldr: Milf hunters. Boy Bimbos, Himbos in fact.

Person one: "ANON is totally Cougar Bait. Just look at him over there!"
Person two: "I know, no shame at all!"
Anon who is currently having the time of his life: "Oh damn Sharlene, that must be so hard having to be a housewife, and taking care of 4 teenagers while your husband is out drinking with his friends, you should totally get a divorce-"

bonnet bait

A cyclist or pedestrian who do extremely poorly timed crossings or actions on the road close to a car, thus baiting being over the bonnet on one’s car and onto there arse.

You seen Dave’s crossing of the road, he’s well bonnet bait doing that!

Streamer Bait

An indie computer game specifically created to appeal to streamers and other content creators as a method of quickly gaining popularity. Can be any genre with varying degrees of quality, but most often takes the form of a mediocre horror game.

Person A: “Are you planning on getting that new game?”
Person B: “Nah, it’s total streamer bait.”
