Adjective: Catch-all word used by Cultural Conservatives as a substitute slur word.

Instead of calling a person a slur because it's no longer acceptable you would call them "woke". Example: I thinks "Woke" Space Lasers started all the fires in California.

Utilizing one's identity as a tool to acquire socio-political power and assert changes rooted in a belief of moral superiority, which may lack empirical or objective support, but are based solely on subjective moral judgments.

Why do they need to add every diversity in existence in this movie? It ruins the plot.

A slang term used to describe someone who is awake, as in aware; enlightened; brought out of the darkness; the blinders having been removed; having taken the "red pill" (a reference to The Matrix) wherein the person is brought out of a false reality into actual reality; finally seeing the big picture; no longer asleep about an issue; someone who finally gets it.

He finally realized the issue that in American the problems we are facing are being pushed by the far-Left narrative, which has hijacked the term "liberal," the media, the education system, and the Democrat party. He is woke.

She is woke to the fact that Americans are being pitted against each other by the powers-that-be.
