The Nabokov effect is a phenomenon in media that starts off as a ironic self expressive "pointing fun at it" media that the consumers (majority) turn into romanticization or idealization of a particular action or lifestyle. Hollywood took it upon themself to turn the message into a 180° pedophilia romanticization media.

The 300 chicken nugget challenge was on my mind all day. I refused to eat. Half an hour before go time, he decided to have a girl over and have some fun. I was livid. When we finally got to McDonalds an hour later I barely made it past 20 effectively making me the first to experience "The Nugget Effect".
