Skikend

A portmanteau of ski and weekend, referring to a brief trip—typically spanning one to three days—taken with the primary purpose of skiing. A skikend often involves travel to a ski resort or mountain area for recreational skiing, usually planned around standard weekend leisure time. The term may also denote the informal culture of short, intensive ski outings common among enthusiasts who cannot commit to longer holidays.
