bystander effect

When witnessing a situation of an victim and 'incriminator', the degree of responsibility the witness has in helping the victim or stopping the 'crime' in progress. The degree of responsibility usually depends on three criteria; 1. Whether the victim is deserving of help, 2. The competence of the bystander, 3. The relationship between the bystander and the 'victim'. The bystander can intervene in usually two different ways; direct intervention, or, calling authorities.

I saw an old lady getting her purse taken by some thug, i just stood by and watched... later i felt confused and guilty. The feeling i felt could be described as the bystander effect

Tumblr Effect

The Tumblr Effect occurs when one makes a big deal out of something rather common/formal; A showcase of utter pretentiousness.

Phrases like "I can't even", "This", "I'm so done", "My life is complete" and "That's enough internet for today" indicate that the Tumblr Effect is in effect.

The phenomenon get's it's name from the popular network Tumblr, where people making ginormous deals over little things are in abundance.

Ever since the Tumblr Effect became a thing, it became much easier for marketers to simply make a big deal over their own product, rather than actually presenting the qualities of the product. Henceforth, they would get the (Tumblr Effect) ball rolling.

"Teh Nuber Effekt" Nubificus Maximatifacus

The process by which exposure to idiots on the internet(or 'interwebz', 'intranets', or 'teh webz') slowly transforms a normal web goer, into a Noob. Those affected slowly lose the ability to type coherently, and type with any sense of grammar. Words like 'like' become 'leik' while words like 'hack' become 'Teh Haxxorz'. These 'noobs' also tend to swarm in massive groups, to internet forums, and websites, posting spam and other rediculous obsceneties. Also, the Noobs tend to over use the word 'pwn'.

So far, the only known weakness to a noob, is a female forum goer, or a 'btch' as noobs refer to them as.

The 'Nuber Effekt', makes all noobs allergic to females, which leads to the noob having a fit, and making comments such as 'U gt BF?', and 'lol buttsekz?'.

So far, there has been no discovered cure for 'Teh Nuber Effekt'. A nice swing of a ban hammer will keep them at bay for a while, but only for short periods of time.

His absurd post of "hail mah peniz, conkerer of da vag kween" showed how severly, "Teh Nuber Effekt" Nubificus Maximatifacus, had progressed.
