Get the stop gatekeeping mug.The act of controlling participation in a certain group or culture, it is becoming increasingly common in the punk subculture where some "punks" claim that you can't be punk if you're conservative, despite not understanding that punk doesn't care about left or right, but it's more to do with challenging the status quo irrespective of who's in power. Long story short, it leans more towards anarchy. In the Metal Community, many individuals whi listen to extreme metal will call those who listen to glam metal or hard rock gay or say it's pussy music and those who listen to them are not allowed to listen to extreme metal. Myself personally, I like to have the best of all worlds.
